As a Program Director, Sandra serves as a liaison between HOME WORKS! and the school by working very closely with the Site Coordinators at her assigned schools/districts. Sandra’s responsibilities include program management, logistics, planning, and data collection, as well as leading continuous quality improvement initiatives and the integration of best practices within the program.
Dr. Sandra Logan is a retired educator after 29 years of service to students, staff, and parents. Sandra grew up and graduated from Gallatin High School in northwest Missouri. Sandra started her teaching career as a Home Economics teacher at South Shelby High School in Shelbina, MO where she taught four years. In 1988, she moved to Columbia where she taught for six more years. Sandra received her Masters degree in Educational Administration from the University of Missouri-Columbia in August, 1993. In 1994, Sandra was hired as an Administrative Assistant at West Junior High in Columbia for one year and then moved into the Assistant Principal position for four years. Sandra received her Specialist degree in Educational Administration from the University of Missouri-Columbia in May, 1997. She was named the Principal of West Junior High in 1999 and continued to work on her doctorate until she graduated with an Educational Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis in December, 2002 from the University of Missouri-Columbia. She served in the West Junior High principal leadership position for fourteen years until she retired in June, 2013. In May, 2015, Sandra was hired as an Adjunct Professor in the Education Department at Columbia College. Sandra is married to Gregory Logan and has six children, fifteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, exercising, cooking and eating at different restaurants.
